(1) NTEP Orientation Program Conducted by Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt of West Bengal at Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital

The Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal, organized a successful National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP) orientation session at Santiniketan Medical College & Hospital at Today The program, aimed at enhancing tuberculosis control strategies and strengthening healthcare initiatives, was attended by key officials, including:

• Dr. Aswini Majhi, Director, State Bureau of Health Intelligence (SBHI), Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt of West Bengal

• Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH), Birbhum
• Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Health (DCMOH), Birbhum

The event highlighted innovative measures and a collaborative approach to achieve the state’s goal of tuberculosis elimination, showcasing the department’s dedication to a healthier West Bengal.

(2) Foundation course orientation field visit for batch 2023-24 roll nos. 61-90 at Nanoor Block Primary Health Center by Department of Community Medicine. Associated faculty: Dr. Rama Pramanik and Dr. Ria Roy.

(3) A National Workshop took place at Santiniketan Medical College on 2nd September, 2023, Saturday, organized by the West Bengal Medical Council. The workshop, titled "National CME cum Hands on Workshop on Basics of Wound Care," was attended by distinguished doctors from various parts of the country. The opening speech was delivered by Malay Pit, the college president. Notable attendees included Prof. Dr. Gautam Narayan Sarkar, Principal of Santiniketan Medical College, along with Prof. Dr. Parthasarathi Giri, Prof. Dr. Amrita Mazumdar, Prof. Dr. Sumit Sanyal, Dr. Ayan Goswami, and other medical professors.

(4) Seminar on "Digital Health" performed by Santiniketan Medical College at West Bengal University of Health Sciences, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Suhrita Paul Vice Chancellor WBUHS

(6) Santiniketan Medical College and Hospital organized a discussion on Good Clinical Practice today, 10th January,2023 in the presence of Vice-Chancellor , West Bengal University of Health Sciences,Prof. Dr. Suhrita Pal It was discussed on the responsibilities of investigators, sponsors, monitors, and IRBs in the conduct of clinical trials. It aims to ensure that
1.The rights, safety, and well-being of human subjects are protected.
2. Clinical trials are conducted in accordance with approved plans with rigor and integrity
3.Data derived from clinical trials are reliable
